The Herald turns 100

This year The Herald, the community newspaper I write for, celebrated its 100th anniversary.

Over the course of the year, I poked my head into the archives to explore what stories the paper was reporting on over the decades. In the process, I put together a little history of the paper, and was lucky enough to track down Beverly Berzuk, who was practically raised in the McLean Printers shop. This week, The Herald ran its 100th anniversary edition, which included the feature and some other supplementary historical information and images. Pretty cool?

I also had the opportunity to pen a little column. Take a look see at that, too, if you fancy.

If you’ve taken the time to read those two pieces, you’ll see that the northeast beat is certainly an interesting one that I’m happy to continue exploring into the new year and beyond.
